Welcome to Bridgehaven Children's Advocacy Center

Bridgehaven Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) is a nonprofit organization that was created to help minimize the trauma associated with child abuse investigations.

Bridgehaven CAC is an organization that offers two separate programs to help victims of child abuse and neglect.

First, there is the CAC (Children's Advocacy Center) program that has helped to change the way that child abuse investigations are handled in Chambers and Liberty Counties in southeast Texas by working as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes law enforcement, prosecutors, child protective service workers, mental/medical professionals, and volunteers.

Second, there is the CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) program which recruits, screens, trains, and supervises volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children involved in the court system to help secure a permanent, safe home.

The purpose of Bridgehaven CAC is to coordinate the work of the multidisciplinary partnership and to ensure that child victims are not revictimized by the system designed to protect them.

Bridgehaven CAC provides a neutral, child-friendly, non-institutionalized environment in which each victim can feel safe telling his/her story and immediate services can be provided to both the child and the non-offending family members.
